Project 667-2023 – Understanding Indigenous Knowledge in water management practices across Canada

Project Description: The Contractor will conduct research and prepare a report to help federal, provincial and territorial (FPT) water managers better understand:
• the types of things (e.g., tools and processes) that Indigenous governments, organizations and communities are seeking from FPT governments with respect to creating space for Indigenous Knowledge in water management
• the types of work that Indigenous governments, organizations and communities undertake to revitalize and share Indigenous Knowledge, and how FPT governments may support this work
• how FPT governments and Indigenous governments, organizations and communities can work together in a meaningful way to weave Indigenous Knowledge into caring for, managing and making decisions about water in a changing climate.
