Public Review and Comment: Canadian Soil Vapour Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Environmental and Human Health

Draft Canadian Soil Vapour Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Environmental and Human Health for 42 organic compounds are available in French and English for public review and comment until October 20, 2026.

Canadian Soil Vapour Quality Guidelines for the Protection of Human Health are developed to ensure that contaminants present at the guideline concentration will result in no appreciable human health risk. They are developed based on both scientific and management considerations that may impact potential risks to human receptors and are intended to be used to assess in-place contaminants in soil vapour.
